Snake Drive II

The second Snake Drive hit like a pounding hammer. Three brilliant bands, 2 sets of genius DJs and no one with the presence of mind to remember a camera. Oh well, such is life.

Downstairs Pete and Steve kicked off proceedings with a DJ set that mixed blues, garage rock, copies of NOW 17 and anything else that came to hand. Around about 11 they were muscled off the DJ booth by the boys from the Dirty Backbeats and the non-stop fun continued - this time in VINYLVISION. Brilliant!

Meanwhile upstairs Pig Iron Joe kicked proceedings off with their own brand of bluesy nonsense. Bone-Box then assumed the possition and blew the crowd away with their intensity, mariachi trumpet and pedal steel. Finally the REID PALEY TRIO climbed aboard and rocked the house until midnight. Pure class!
